artist Andy Thomas captures perfectly the excitement of the Buffalo
Hunt! He loves to paint the Old West and does so in the manner of
Charles Russell - lots of action and narrative. In this piece, the dark
strength of the buffalo contrasts dramatically with the white horse and
its rider who want to take the buffalo for its meat and hide. The
buffalo turns to attack before he is shot with the arrow, and we are
caught at that precipitous moment. Who knows how it will end?
