a self taught artist, was born in Tacoma, Washington - 1949.
His childhood was spent in Wyoming, where his love for wildlife was
establish early on.
His journey as a professional artist started in 1971 selling through
galleries and to sympathetic relatives. In the early 80's he was
introduced to the world of art shows.
Dave Bartholet's loose style of watercolors were an instant hit with
collectors worldwide, an estimated 100,000 collectors. His work
has also been shown in well over 100 galleries. He attributes his success
to a strong business work ethic, as well as, a God given talent.
Dave is an avid outdoorsman and is quick to speak out on conservation
issues. He generously supports every wildlife group that comes his
way.
Today, Dave and his wife, Penny, live near Seaside, Oregon. They
co-own and operate the Gilbert District Gallery in the historic Gilbert
District of Seaside on Broadway. Dave is also co-owner with
Cameron Blagg of Skamania Mines Publishing, with 2 books in print,
"Artists of the Northwest" and "Artists of the
West".
