DENNY KARCHNER WESTERN ART Cypress Scout

This portrait of Charles Bolin from Deland, Florida was done as part of a series of works Denny is currently working on for his upcoming show at the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, Georgia this coming September. Mr. Bolin refers to himself as "Cypress Scout". He is a member of a nationwide organization called the “Single Action Shooting Society” also known as "S.A.S.S." Denny was invited to observe one of their regional shooting range competitions in Florida in December, 2005, and several of the competitors there posed for Denny's wife, Leigh, his photographer.
