The Medicine of Zohzohkah

This modern Sioux dancer believes in the medicine of his ancestors. He believes the Kingfisher ( a fishing eating bird) is able to pierce the water without  leaving a ripple to mark his passage.

By painting the likeness of the bird on his shield,  the medicine of the Kingfisher will  protect him by allowing bullets and arrows to pass harmlessly thru him.
