Some Things Just Never Change

She was up at 4:00 A.M., slapped down breakfast, roped and saddled her mount and was ready to meet the day. No help was offered, none was needed.  She was a top hand.

It was a day of cowboying; of cattle, horses, pickup trucks, and trailers; of roping, branding, and dehorning; of dirt and dust; of sun and sweat; of blood,  smoke, and pain.

Now she has time for herself. There is  nothing like a little lipstick to make a woman feel like a woman.
