the goats on the left.” MATTHEW 25:33 Larry Dyke has painted a country
lane filled with sheep and goats, and at a distance it is difficult to
distinguish between the two. But, God’s Word tells us of a day when
that final distinction will be drawn. There are lush pastures, streams
of living water, and dwelling places in the presence of God’s eternal
church to the right of the shepherd - a place of contentment and joy. To
his left there is the darkness of terrible difficulty - a place of
separation and death. Standing at the gate to God’s eternal pasture is
one of three trees stained crimson from the price He paid on our behalf,
while in the sun’s brilliant rays the cross speaks to the power of His
resurrection. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come,
you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom
prepared for you since the creation of the world.” MATTHEW 25:34
